Old French nineteenth or early twentieth yoke finely carved sunflower motif in the center, sun and intersecting lines symbol of fertility. Old folk art carved wooden ox yoke, peasant art. Very nice wall decoration object. See photos. Yoke used for the following festivals:


the feast of Saint-Roch, which takes place on August 16: blessing of the teams;

the feast of St. John, which takes place on June 24, landmark of the summer solstice: celebrates the beginning of the harvest and the coming of summer;
